In these days, high-rise building has been increasing. Therefore, it's demanded high speed and high capacity elevator. The speedup of elevator traction machine is required to speed up the elevator. And it is causing noise and vibration by transmitting the vibration from elevator traction machine to the beam of bulding. In past study, using active mass damper controlled vibration transmission from elevator traction machine base to beam of building. But it needs high running cost. The purpose of this study is controlling the vibration by changing structure of vibration isolator. This paper describes modeling of elevator traction machine base. Additionally, it was discussed that changing structure of vibration isolator affect vibration characteristic of the base.
