Abstract
Direct numerical simulations of turbulence sustained by steady force in a peridic cube are conducted.It is then shown that the hierarchy of vortex tubes are created by vortex stretching in large-scale straining fields around the quadruplet of vortex tubes sustained by the force directly,and that this energy-cascading process is quesi-peridoc in time.
