フィラメントストレッチ法を用いた濃厚粒子懸濁液の表面張力測定

We carried out the measurement of surface tension of concentrated particle suspension using tthe filament stretching method. The particle suspension used in this experiment was a mixture of aqueous soolution of sodium of poly-tungstate(SPT) 18wt% and acrylic sphere particles with the mean diameter of 45μm. TThe volume fraction of particles was 50%. At the start-up of flow in the filament stretching device, meniscus of liquidd column was formed. Evaluating the surface tension from the force balance during a flow and meniscus profiles, we found that the surface tension of test fluid was 63.2 × 10^-3 N/m.
