In recent years, renewable energy attracts attention from the viewpoint of global warming. While there are a lot of ocean energy resources in the world, we cannot utilize them, especially in Japan due to the typhoon problem. Therefore, we are developing a compact and low-cost but flexible (multi-degree of freedom) floating wave power generation device. In this paper, we explain the concept of the new wave power generator, then evaluate the performance of the device numerically with our developed simulation code, which evaluates electromagnetic dynamics of the device. The computationally predicted performance was compared with that of experiment.
