Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma actuators have been investigated by many researchers as flow-control devices. In the present study, an attempt was made to apply a DBD plasma actuator to a circular jet flow. In order to achieve enhanced mixing, the effect of the electrode diameter and the applied voltage and frequency on the velocity and turbulence of the jet flow was investigated, and the optimum conditions were determined. It was expected that a higher velocity would have a larger effect on the jet flow.
