The thesis set boundary conditions according to the practice of power production and calculated the substitution effect of CO2 deduction based on the energy conservation law and the mass conservation law. It analyzed the CO2 emission based on lifecycle and overall energy chain both with single unit of 1000 Mw nuclear power plant and single unit of 1000 Mw coal-fired power plant. According to the connotation of external cost, it analyzed the external cost of CO2 emission in different power generation pattern. It chose the overall social mitigation cost as the index of external cost for power generation. 3E model was established to proclaim the association among Economic, Environment and Energy. Based on data of energy consumption, CO2 emission, GDP and population from 1980 to 2020 in China, the multiple linear regression formula was established. Then, 3E calculation model and CO2 deduction-GDP model were deduced by 3E model. When the results of substitution effect of CO2 deduction were plugged in above-mentioned models, the overall social mitigation cost saved by nuclear power which is also the economic benefit will be calculated. Theoretically, it demonstrated the obvious comprehensive environmental benefit of nuclear power in the term of lifecycle and overall energy chain.
