Machinery safety standard by ISO and JIS is now prevailing in Japan. Pro-active risk assessment is located in the center of the risk management system, on the other hand re-active accident investigation is important for the system. Safe design and manufacturing are required and also risk information for user is also required as supplier. Root cause analysis is necessary in case of accident and thus integral approach is attained as specified in the standard.
