Since under the micro-gravity environment there is no influence of gravity, it is necessary to use another active force to control fluid. One of the candidate active forces is ultrasonic acoustic wave field. In the present study, the possibility of the ultrasonic acoustic wave field for active control of fluid was experimentally investigated. Various combinations of the different phases ware investigated such as bubble in liquid, droplet in air, solid particle in liquid and molten metal droplet with vapor film in liquid. It was experimentally confirmed that the possibility of the present technique for the holding and active control of fluid is applicable.
