Hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) is one kind of congenital heart diseases of newborn. In order to improve blood circulation, the surgeries for HLHS have to be carried out at very early stage. A series of treatments were included surgeries step-by-step; Norwood, Glenn and Fontan. However, currently there are no quantitative standard to evaluate and predict the outcome of the therapy. In this study, a data transfer system was introduced to convert clinical image into three-dimension geometry for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to study. The simulations were performed under pulsatile flow conditions. The circulations of blood flows were observed by using visualization tools, and energy losses were used to estimate the quality of surgeries.
