The detection method of LSPR using AuNPs has the advantages of label free detection and simple optical setup. The detection principle of LSPR is by comparing plasmonic peak of before and after antigen adsorption, because antigen adhere antibody on AuNPs leads to an increase of the localized refraction index and to a red shift of plasmonic peak. The dry process for the synthesis of AuNPs has been widely studied, because it has the advantages of reduction of waste solution and shortening of fabrication time. The recent studies of depositing AuNPs to 3D structure have been performed for leading to improving sensor sensitivity by increasing specific surface area of reaction field. In this study, we attempt to fabricate a transmission type 3D LSPR sensor by using vertical aligned CNTs as support and depositing AuNPs on CNT surface. We proposed a simple process to arrange uniformly AuNPs to CNTs by using vacuum deposition, Ion coater and annealing for improving sensitivity of 3D LSPR sensor.
