Walking is the most basic and important activity of human, and many researches on human gait have been done so far. However, many of them focus on the gait abnormality in relation to some specific injuries or diseases, and there are few studies on the gait of healthy and normal subjects. In this study, we analyzed the gait pattern of 66 healthy students from National Defense Academy of Japan, and tried to establish a criterion for evaluating their walking ability. As a result of statistical analysis of the gait patterns, we succeeded to evaluate the waking function of the subjects.
