In this study ,the objective of this study is the optimization of microgrid. composed of the demand, PV, gas engine and storage batteries. To reach this goal, we search for the best combination of the number of gas engine and a capacity of a storage battery by Genetic Algorithm. Genetic Algorithm is a method of optimization and simulates law of inheritance. This system is simulated by using MATLAB/Simulink. And using this, an approximation is led. Using this approximation, power cost of this system and system efficiency are calculated. And from these values, the best combination of the number of gas engine and a capacity of a storage battery is decided by Genetic Algorithm. In this study, the combinations which can be optical solutions is found. But, at the same time, the combinations which are not supposed to be optical solutions are also selected. Therefore, there is room for improvement on this system.
