Although the friction welding is widely used in order to join dissimilar metal materials, the base metal corrode remarkably by the electrolytic corrosion when the noble metal contact the base metal under the corrosive environment. This paper deals with the joint characteristics of friction welded joint between the aluminum alloy A6063 round bar and austenite stainless steel SUS304 round bar under the freeze-thaw corrosive environment and 20°C constant temperature. As a result, the diameter of A6063 which directly contact SUS304 got thin by electrolytic corrosion. The three ways of conventional countermeasures for corrosion protection work have been conducted against the electrolytic corrosion. In addition, friction welded joint between the SUS304 and SUS304 is applied for the tests mentioned above. Tensile tests are conducted to the joining test specimens after the corrosion tests
