Abstract

Compared to high-power hydraulic power generation, small hydropower generation can shorten the time required for installation and require less equipment costs. On the other hand, economies of scale are a weakness, so the electric power obtained from small hydropower generation is expensive. One of the reasons for this high cost is that the turbines are designed and manufactured for each item under the conditions of the installation point. In other words, by standardizing the design of the system up to the water turbine, generator, and grid interconnection device and establishing the technology for using general products, it is possible to supply with reasonable price. And it will lead to regional revitalization with small hydropower as the key. In this research, an integrated unit of small hydroelectric power generation have developed integrating the turbine, generator, and grid interconnection device.
