It is known that mechanical stresses induced by blood flow play an important role in a cardiovascular disease such as a cerebral aneurysm. If an excessive mechanical stress is imposed on arterial walls, it affects endothelial cells and then leads to damages on tissues of arterial wall. Thus, the paper considers the effects of mechanical stress induced by blood flow on endothelial cells. The simulation of the structure and flow interaction is carried out to investigate the effects of the interaction between blood flow and an endothelial cell.
