1308 Determinants of Innovation in Pharmaceutical Firms : Analysis of Technological Opportunity

In recent years, many researches point out the importance of appropriability and technological opportunity as determinants of innovation. Authors have targeted the innovation in pharmaceutical firms, and analyzed the determinants of innovation. This paper describes our survey results on a technological opportunity. The results from the analysis show the relation between importance of an information source and getting relevant information out of the firm through joint research or transaction of intellectual property. Further, the results show the patterns of the relation between R & D strategy and the important information source.
