The thermoelectric gas sensor (TGS) has unique and reliable working principle, a synergetic combination of catalytic combustion and thermoelectric conversion. We analyze the heat balance of TGS for the improvement of the thermal design of TGS for the efficient transport of the catalytic combustion heat, and the voltage signal of TGS was simulated. The simulation parameters was calculated by comparing an experimental result with a calculation result. In order to confirm the effect of a dummy film, the voltage signal of TGS with and without dummy film by a change of heater power were compared.
