Tooth surface measurement is applied for quality check of manufactured gear. But, gear unit's performance on vibration behavior cannot be checked completely, because there are other origins that may bring vibration problems such as misalignment, inadequate stiffness of shafts or bearings. Authors had already reported about excitation force estimation with vibration measurement results that can be applied for quality check and vibration diagnosis of gear unit. In this research, we discuss about precise phase estimation method. Also, vibration characteristics extraction on third harmonic component of mesh with misaligned gear pairs, and its potentiality of effectiveness is shown.
