Abstract
MESX joint project aims to realize integration of entire manufacturing systems that organically link enterprise system and control system. To achieve this, we have positioned system components on each level of the function hierarchy defined in the IEC 62264-1 and have standardized coordination protocols among these components. Moreover, a demonstration system composed of multi-vendor components has been developed and exhibited to illustrate effectiveness. We have implemented the demonstration system with PSLX platform that contains standard terms and communication software libraries for manufacturing application coordination. This paper proposes the method for integrating between level 2 and level 3 in the IEC 62264-1, and reports the developed coordination protocol and the demonstration system.
