The fluidized-bed technology has getting great attention in various industrial fields, e. g. : combustor, dryer, catalysis, etc. The bed characteristics have not been sufficiently understood so far. This is mainly because of many parameters affecting fluidizing-bed characteristics and the interactions between them. In this investigation, quantitative flow visualization by NR-CT was conducted using fluidized-bed system with immersed vertical tube bundles, and heat transfer characteristics were also measured.
