Some flying robots have been developed, however their mechanisms are complex to make the robot size small. Small insects such as flies and bees are flying by flapping the wings at amazing frequency more than 100Hz, however they cannot stretch their muscle so high speed. They make it possible by utilizing the mechanical resonance. They synchronize their wings vibration with their wing's resonance frequency, while their muscles stretch at a frequency much less than the resonance to promote the wing's resonance vibration. In this research, we try to make a simplified flying robot flapping at the resonance frequency inspired by those flying insects.
