This paper describes a trial of noise measurement by a mobile measuranent systan The mobile measurement is increasingly required for noise tests of jet-engines. As a first daicnstrator, a rover was fabricated and applied to the outdoor test of the YJ69-T406 turbojet engine. Ore role of the rover is to collect noise data at any position around the engine. The noise data obtained not by the settled raicrophcnes but by the mobile microphone helps corplanent the ordinal far-field irEasuranent Another role is to monitor the operating ccnditicn near the engine where a worker could not stay due to extreme level of sound and danger. The rover succeeded to record the sound signal during the engine operation and monitor the exhaust section of the engine.
