This paper describes the development of a new motor amplifier that exerts the potential of FETs to the maximum extent. It has a large current capacity (depending on the chosen FET) and supplies a wide range of motor power. Because the heat generation of the FETs is suppressed to the utmost limit, it has high reliability. The alignment of deadtime is quite important in the drive of the FETs. If it is not adjusted, I_D (Drain Current) will be quite large and the FET may break down in a short period of time. To control the gate of the high-side FETs, a charge-pump operation is applied.
