Patient's life tends to becomes inactive as the lying time on the bed becomes long for the reason of medical treatment becoming long, and one's exercise function might decrease. Considering the life after leaving hospital, active time must be increased gradually until the same level as a healthy person. For that purpose, it is desirable to measure the active and/or the lying time in one day. However, it is unreal that a doctor or a nurse records the time of two or more patients taking account of their burdens. Therefore, an automatic monitoring system and the system to analyze the data from its monitoring system, is expected strongly. The aim of this research is to develop the system to monitor the activity of person using the acceleration sensor.
