We investigated the variation of impressions due to the difference in the size of the robot. The KANSEI Expression Platform Robot, KEPRO, is developed as the platform robot for conducting experiment on virtual KANSEI for robots. It is planned to investigate effects of factors such as size, proportion and design on human impressions. As a part of this effort, we developed a small-scale model of KEPRO, called KEPRO-700, in addition to KEPRO-1300, which was already developed in our laboratory. Those robots are different only in their sizes. We conducted impression experiments using those two KEPROs for a set of six motions with six different emotions. The results show that KEPRO-1300 have advantages in the matching of the intended and received emotions of joy motion as opposed to KEPRO-700 of fear, grief and disgust motions.
