Recently, BMI has been actively studied and have been commercialized. For example, there is an electric wheel chair controlled by brain waves. The final goal of this study is to control a mobile robot using brain wave. As the first of study, brain waves measured by simple brain measuring device which is a commercialized B3band, because the device is noninvasive and less affects human subjects. The measured brain waves were analyzed by FFT and were divided into eight region of frequency. We focused on alpha and beta waves, and discrimination analysis were conducted to confirm whether two states (rest and concentration) can be distinguished. As a result, we found that the concentration state could be predicted in approximately 80%, although the rest state could not be predicted.
