In this paper, we report the development of non-contact concentration monitoring technique of energy carrier using a quartz oscillator circuit. This sensor is composed of the Sensing Capacitor (SC) and Quartz Crystal Resonator (QCR). It is a contactless capacitive sensor using out-of-plane electric field of a planer sensing capacitor. We measured the concentration of MCH by the proposed sensor for the purpose of the concentration management of MCH. We confirmed that this sensor could measure MCH by non-contact through a glass container and achieved resolution of 0.7 % by weight by changing the resonance frequency of QCR. This sensor is expected to be applied to monitoring technique of energy carriers.
