This paper reports on a double winding micro coil as a receiver for MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). A double winding micro coil was fabricated by assembling 3D printed structures and planar coil wirings fabricated by MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) technology. Since a cross sectional area of wires of double winding coil is two times larger than single winding coil, this double winding micro coil has low resistance. The diameter of the inner coil, outer coil, and length of the coil were 4.5 mm, 6.5 mm, and 10 mm, respectively. The number of turns of micro coils were 8 and 10. The resisitances and SNRs (Signal to Noise Ratio) of 8-turn and 10-turn coils were 0.239 Ω and 0.424 Ω and 114 and 88, respectively. Since a double winding micro coil has high performance, we acquired a clear MRI image of a small berry of Liriope muscari.
