In this paper, we explained a pneumatic film actuator fabricated by molding process. In our previous research, a bending type actuator have been developed. The bending motion is occurred by pleated structure. The structure is formed by folding process of films. The folding process is performed manually and is complicated. Additionally, the pleated structure tends to be broken by repetitive driving. In this study, a molding process was developed for fabricating a structure that causes bending motion. By pressing a mold against polyimide film, the bending structure is formed. Fabricated actuators are evaluated at room temperature. The molding type actuator has the same performance as precious one.
