This paper presented a prediction method of tactile feeling by measuring the vibration on a finger when the fingertip slides on an object. We developed an equipment that can generate forced sliding displacement on the fingertip and measure the vibration occurred on the fingertip. The vibration was analyzed by mel frequency cepstrum coefficients. The prediction model was made based on multiple regression analysis, and its accuracy was evaluated.
