抄録

Parkinson's disease is a progressive neurological disease, and one of its major symptoms, freezing of gait(FOG) during walking, leads to difficulty walking and induction of falls, greatly reducing patient's QOL. Meanwhile, it is known that FOG do not easily occur during pedaling. Therefore, in this study, we developed a system for applying unplugged powered suit, to Parkinson's disease patients, that is designed to give somatosensory and motor stimulation using artificial muscles to swing leg, based on the movement of supporting legs during bipedal walking.
