An automatic rivet transfer equipment using a linear motion system and a PLC controller has been developed. This unit is used for a riveting machine where the rivet is picked by an electromagnetic picking device. The main objective was the design of a mechanical system to feed the rivet and transport it from the feeding station to the riveting position. In addition, the appropriate sensor, a stepper motor integrated in the system and a controller program were developed.
