Two types of research are important for creating useful robots to society. These are "robot needs research" to find out where and who needs robotization, and "robot seeds research" to find out the technologies to solve those needs. In this paper, we consider the social implementation of crawler-type mobile robots from the perspective of the above "needs research" and "seeds research," and describe what we have done in the process.
