In this paper, a robot system is proposed for automating dishwashing operations. The system consists of a robot manipulator, a robotic hand capable of grasping and saction, and a 3D camera. Machine learning was used to recognize the tableware, determine the grasping position and posture. Experiments on various kinds of tableware were conducted to evaluate the performances of the developed system.
