Various deployable structures have been studied as living residence that can be used in outer space, but the dynamic studies used when spreading or folding structures have not been fully understood. In this research, The purpose is to clarify the force and movement acting on each member and the relationship necessary for deployment based on the mechanism analysis for Ishimatsu folding, and we attempted modeling using a mechanical analysis software (Adams) and dynamic analysis during deployment and storage for a three-dimensional tubular rigid deployment structure. In addition, we examined the dynamics and effective actuator placement to maintain expandability. It is advantageous to use Adams for mechanical analysis (multibody dynamics) of a structure having a complicated deployment mechanism, and it was verified in comparison with a general simple model.
