In this study, we developed a shopping cart to measure the distance traveled by shoppers in a store. It is possible to provide various services to users by combining travel distance and purchased product data with this cart. First, we introduce a shopping cart prototype based on an accelerometer and a microcomputer. Next, we perform a verification experiment in a drug store. We move inside the drug store with the shopping cart prototype and evaluate its measurement accuracy. As a result, we confirm that distance can be measured stably.
