Guide dogs are used by the visually impaired to walk safely in the city. However, there is a shortage of guide dogs compared to the number of visually impaired people who need them. Therefore, it is desirable to develop a walking support system that can replace guide dogs. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate a method of detecting guide blocks (tactile paving) for the visually impaired from first-person images as one of the functions of a walking support system. We attempted to extract tactile paving by thresholding, using HSV transformation on the acquired images. We also confirmed that the extraction accuracy was improved by restricting the area of the floor and ground.
