Measurement technic of contact information such as force or slip is important to understand human dexterous skills. We are developing a wearable force and slip measurement device which does not interfere with the natural contact of the fingertip. It is important to clarify the deformation characteristics of the finger pad for optimal device design. In this paper, we present that 2D and 3D measurement results of the finger pad deformation. A RGB camera and a 3D scanner are used in the experiment. We observe that the deformation of the finger pad was large in two places, the loot of the nail and the tip of the nail.
