In a plant cultivation system using an LED light source, the LED light source is used with a fixed height, and the height is set so that it does not come into contact with the light source even when the plant grows. However, the plants that have just sprouted are small and far from the light source, so sufficient light energy does not reach the plants. Therefore, a cultivation system that controls the height of the light source according to the growth of the plant was proposed previously. However, the system manually adjusted the height of the LED light source. In this paper, a system that automatically controls the height of the LED light source according to the growth of plants is proposed. The cultivation system detects the height of the plant and controls the height of the light source: when the plant is small, the height of the light source is low, while when it is large, the height is high. In this paper, plants were actually cultivated, and a comparison was made between the case where the LED light source was fixed and the case where the height was controlled.
