This paper reports on a high sensitivity and low resistance spiral-wired microcoil with twisted connection of dual-sided deposited disks as a receiver for MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). The wiring was fabricated by vacuum evaporation and electroplating of copper onto both sides of the disks. This microcoil achieves high sensitivity due to its spiral wiring on Cu-deposited disks on both sides. The microcoil was fabricated by connecting the 3D (three-dimensional) printed disks with a connection part of a convex shape. Since the wiring length of each connection was short, the microcoil has low resistance. The resistance of the microcoil was 0.86 Ω at the frequency of 85.8 MHz. Since this microcoil has low resistance and high sensitivity, it was possible to acquire an MRI image of cooking oil.
