Abstract
Chemical humidity conditioning system using PEG slurry with sodium carbonate decahydrate/monohydrate as desiccant is proposed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the dehumidification characteristics of the rotary kiln reactor. A rotary kiln dehumidifier was fabricated, and wet air was delivered to it while feeding PEG slurry countercurrently. The dehumidification of air using the rotary kiln was confirmed. Mass transfer coefficient determined from the experimental result agreed well with the theoretical value obtained using Gilliland's Equation.
