Abstract
This paper presents experimental results of the proposed method for friction control between wheel and rail using fullsize test stand. Water based friction modifier is sprayed on rail wheel of the test stand before curve running test. Experimental results show that the Friction Control can reduce the lateral force of front-outside wheel and longitudinal forces of rear wheels, which produce ill-suited phenomena in sharp curve.
