Participation in the local government dementia policy promotion organization and social activities of doctors

Abstract

We looked back on the activities of the Sapporo dementia support project committee and the activities of the Sapporo city medical Association in the field of dementia, and examined the social activities of doctors.

Neurosurgeons are likely to be involved in dementia care in old age and appear to be an important area of physician social activity. The dementia policy promotion organization of the local government was considered to be a meaningful organization for gathering the opinions of the citizens and implementing the policy. It was considered that participation in dementia projects conducted by medical associations and local governments should be as much as possible.
