A new type of shear panel damper with the corrugated steel core plate (C-SPD) has been proposed to advance the seismic performance of the Steel Pipes Integrated Bridge pier (SPIB pier). However, cases of applying the corrugated steel plate as the SPD structure are seldom found. Therefore, experiments and numerical analysis will be conducted to evaluate the seismic performance of the C-SPD. The C-SPD is introduced and examined by cyclic loading experiment and FE analysis in this study. The results show that the C-SPD can achieve better seismic performance and control the out-plane deformation due to the accordion effect, comparing with the conventional steel plate SPD (P-SPD).
