Abstract
Human beings have constructed the culture of storage container to be adaptable to their environmental conditions. This paper aims to analyze the storage containers in Gyegogmyeon and Whabugmyeon region, in order to understand how the change of storage container's use in the people's daily life by focusing the problems originated from these regions. The results can be given as follows : (1) The use of storage container can be related to several aspects, which are : (a) geographical, (b) religious, (c) formal, (d) material, (e) symbolic, (f) spatial, (g) psychological, and (h) ecological aspect. (2) From the analysis of every related aspect, it can be shown that there is a change in the use of storage container from traditional to modern period (1960-present).
