抄録
The focus of this paper is on the historical transition of woods used by the wooden craft industry in the Dai-shi region, Taiwan, as taken from literature reviews and interviews. Contents of this research and a conclusion are summarized as follows : 1. Development of the wooden craft industry can be classified as : "minute businesses" to "a specialized industry". 2.The using of wood can be arranged like "utilization of waste material" to "symbiosis with nature" to "estrangement with nature". 3. The supply of wood can be classified as "Inside dependence" to "Outside dependence". 4. Three evolutionary processes include "Raw material location types" to "The types of technique" to "Market location types".
