Aiming that the application of compressed wood to the floor material, this research did measurement about abrasive wear character of the compressed Japanese Cedar and the sliced veneer of the compressed Japanese Cedar overlaid plywood. As result, a level of abrasive wear of the compressed Japanese Cedar satisfied adaptation standard value in the Japanese Agriculture Standard of the flooring. Referring to these results, the solid wood overlaid flooring by the compressed Japanese Cedar and the thick fancy veneer overlaid flooring by the sliced veneer of the compressed Japanese Cedar overlaid plywood were actually manufactured as experiments. From now on, the pattern design of the floor material will be done.
