This study purposes the change of the bathroom space by defining smart technology and researching the current change of people's need for well-being. In near future, a series of smart household electric appliances will be minimized and integrated with bathroom appliances such as mirror, toilet, etc. Consequently devices become wireless and soon will embodied by other body or surroundings in space. With increasing interest in healthcare and government healthcare law system, smart healthcare will be the major issues at smart home design. The history of bathroom design and emerging with new technologies and a new healthcare-oriented bathroom space of the future, using smart technologies, will be explored in this thesis.
