Abstract
This study aims to build a coalition between the universities in the metropolis and local regions.A twofold benefit is expected for each side, the university and local regions, by using an Augmented
Campus model: (1) the university serve its students more practical education experiences (2) the region boost its independent revitalization based on the local participants’ new perspective on local problem-solving strategy. The inhabitants of Sobetsu-cho participated in the field study based on various coalitions, such as Project Based Learning (PBL) focused on tourism.
