Expression activity design to draw out “Caring Mind”

Co-design project for a new activity for nursing work(1)

Abstract

We are designing expression activities to make "creative works" like "newspaper" and "expression materials" used there with chief nurses at S University hospital. In this "newspaper WS", nurses write a composition on the theme "a nursing experience left in the mind", and read it, share it with everyone, and make the "newspaper" in a group. By this expression activity, the nurse's "Caring mind" is expressed, sympathetic to the nursing experiences of others, noticed the importance of finding the value of the work and handling it. Now at S University, "Newspaper WS" is valuable as a method to extract nurses' growth and feelings, and chief nurses started to manage this expression activity themselves.
